Pd/Ag Nanoparticles Prepared in Ionic Liquids as Model Catalysts for the Hydrogenation of Diphenylacetylene

The preparation of bimetallic Pd/Ag-based model catalysts is addressed to study the promotional effects Ag doping in liquid-phase semi-hydrogenation diphenylacetylene. precursor concept employed where colloidal Pd/Ag nanoparticles are initially synthesized and then used as well-defined building units for catalyst preparation. This approach allows tuning composition independently with two metals co-localized a fine extent. Size preserved after immobilizing them on carbon support.
